Today has been the strangest day I've had all year -- dreamlike, as if something's not quite right.
First, the phone rings first thing this morning -- caller ID is blocked -- and a voice whispers just a couple of words , repeated twice, and hangs up.
I couldn't be sure, but I thought... I thought he said "Vitale's Revenge." What?
Then, walking to the train, a piece of white paper came swirling at me in the wind and landed at my feet.
I was about to step over it and keep going, but then I realized it was full of boxes and names -- some of which I recognized.
Could this be it? Could this be notes from the big reorganization that everyone's been talking about, pulled out of someone's binder and flying around in the wind and landing at my feet -- today of all days?
Click on the image above and it should show up full-size. You be the judge.
I think I love you.

Whoa! So many questions...
Who the hell is "Terry" (Ma-zay-nee? Peterson?) and why does anyone care if he thinks it's "OK" for AD to "move" after elections (elections in Nov 06 or Feb 07)?
Is DV "not to be touched" because he's leaving within 30 days? If DV gets Research, Eval, Etc + Strategic Development, does that mean DV is not leaving? Is Stanton leaving?
In the High Schools/Pittman box, what is that word before the parens..."Olson?" "Also?" "Alison?". What "residency problem"? Do some CPS honchos not live in the city? (Bad).

Alson is the Evanston superintendent.
Sounds like a plan to me.
I bet alot of chiefs' stomachs have been churning all weekend.
Alexander, Now I know why they call it the "windy city".

Thanks for this. At first I thought it was Dick Vitale's busted NCAA brackets. This is God's hand at work.

What about Rumsfeld?

Alexander, you are Chicago's best April fool! I'm gonna print this out and post it above my desk tomorrow, so that I can have a little inspiration to get me thru to Spring Break! And I'm betting that when we get back, CPS might be ready to announcement the reorg... and then we'll see that this wasn't just fool-ishness!

This does not look like an April Fools joke

Not to me either. Subjective comments aside, it mirrors the rumors that are floating around. Let's just wait and see how accurate it is.

In the spirit of the final four, you ought to start a pool. Provide brackets of sorts, and allow people to fill in whom they think will fall where.
Winner gets to be the next President of the Board.

The Board needs to start over and get all new people in place that know and care about education. This team is the worst team I have seen in years
