Someone told me that the State of New York has banned the use of IMPACT in its public schools systems. Does anyone know if this is true? If it is, why are we using it here? I also wonder how much of a difference the new technology clause in the proposed contract will make to protect us from systemwide application of such software before the bugs are worked out.
