UPDATE:   Weeding out bad teachers
First and foremost are the changes aimed at identifying and encouraging good teachers and weeding out the bad ones. More rigorous and meaningful teacher evaluations for too long have been missing from the tenure track. The new contract establishes, for the first time, a process for observing and evaluating both probationary and tenured teachers.

"Put to the Test" a radio documentary by American RadioWorks is airing tonight (17 Sept) on WNIJ 89.5 FM. It's about how the high stakes testing affects one North Carolina High School.

I'm glad to see that age old tradition of old people not understanding youth culture prevails. Juke music and the related juke dancing is something that has come from the streets of Chicago's southside and become and international phenomena, much like house music did in the 80's. While it may shock some people, it is still a part of Chicago culture.

My goodness, you can tell I'm not in public relations. Anyway, "Put to the Test" is airing on WNIJ (89.5) tonight (17 Sept) at 6:00pm.

It does no good to tell people the what and where and leave off the when!

Adults do juking at night clubs. This will never stop until you stop B-96, Kiss FM, and GCI and Power 92 from playing all that music that relates to juking.

You know what, you cannot. So just try to raise your daughter from not doing it. If you can.

Stop the radio stations first on junking,
you are right on the money.
