Will The Growth Model Make A Difference?

Speaking of tests, there's lots of hope and anticipation in CPS and elsewhere that the "new" NCLB will include a growth model alternative to the current AYP requirement, but -- as this story of mine from Catalyst Cleveland (Making Progress On "Progress") shows -- growth models don't necessarily lower the number of schools that don't make AYP.   And not all growth models rate schools the same way.
