Dubbed "Two Weeks Worth of Wow!" the Chicago Science Expedition is designed to drive home the importance of science in everyday life. It's open to all ages, but organizers especially hope to tap into what they see as a natural appetite in kids.
Black scholarship finalists named Sun-Times
More than 1,600 black U.S. high school seniors are semifinalists in this year's competition for awards in the National Achievement Scholarship Program, conducted by National Merit Scholarship Corp. Achievement are expected eventually to be awarded to some 800 students.
