Teens out to make
teacher proud and prove him wrong Tribune
On Tuesday, a team of about 21 juniors from Fenger will join students from
seven other Chicago schools in the final team competition of the Circuit Court
of Cook County's Mock Trial.
...Ironically, many of them were taught by the Regnef blogger.
This is in response to the Regnef story. Many (and I mean many) of Chicago's public schools are nightmares. Everyone knows that, everyone talks about it, everyone fights to get their children into the few good schools. Once again someone has spoken out, told a story that makes us all ashamed. Ashamed of the system. This same system was called the "worst public education" system and they did nothing but create the LSC's. Now they are corrupt. Why don't they let this Mr. So and So take over Arnie Duncan's job for one year and we will watch closely and see if he can withstand the corruption that will make him yield to every political demand and forget what education is really about. The writer of the Tribune story--she's not much of a writer. Maybe Mr. So and So could get a job on that staff.
A disappointed fan of education.
